The Writing Mamas Salon - Austin

Home

When you become a mother - you've got a lot to write about.

Based on the wildly successful Writing Mamas Salon founded by Dawn Yun at Book Passage in Corte Madera, California, we now have our own best-selling chapter in Austin.

Our mantra is: Meet, Write, Get Published, Make Money.

If this is your calling, you know who you are! Join us and get started. What are you waiting for?

Welcome to the Writing Mamas Salon of Austin. We're a group with at least two things in common - we have children (or are expecting to have children some day) and we love to write. The salon is a warm, encouraging and supportive place for members to talk about motherhood and writinghood and to have a neighborhood in which to do both.

We meet the first Sunday of every month at

Vino 100 located at 900 RR 620, Suite C-107

Join us Sunday June 7, 2009 from 6-8PM

to meet Katherine Torrini, Creative Life Coach, as she helps motivate us in our writing craft (www.creativelifespark.com)

Sunday July 12, 2009 from 6-8PM

Journalist and author Shelley Seale shares with us her new book 'The Weight of Silence: The Invisible Children of India', just released June 2009. This nonfiction account of the 25 million children of India living without parents, on the streets or in orphanages recounts Shelley's travels and is the story that captivated audiences worldwide in the film 'Slumdog Millionaire' (www.shelleyseale.com).

Join us for a glass of wine or appetizer from the restaurant's fine selection at the Ultimate Mother's Club.
